Studio Charlotte 2019
Studio Charlotte was a solo exhibition in Museum Kranenburgh (2019) about Charlotte's studio practice and focussed on the meaning of her painting materials and the connection with the local landscape.
“A landscape is a complex structure, in which you feel the elements and experience your senses. It surrounds you. In order to capture a landscape's true identity, I focus on its different aspects. I use pigments originating from the earth, often sourced from afar, such as chalk, ochres and minerals like malachite, azurite and lapis lazuli, but sometimes I use local sand as well.”
