Reconstruction detail of Norfolk Triptich (ca 1415), anonymous, commissioned by Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, 2012

This set of reconstructions was commissioned by Museum Boijmans van Beuningen for the museum's exhibition The Road to Van Eyck. The main purpose of the reconstructions was to give an impression of the materials and technique used at the time directly preceding Jan van Eyck’s work. The whole process has been filmed and can still be seen on ARTtube.
